REBOND FOAMING

Rebond, also called recon or chip foam is made using recycled shredded scrap foam with leftovers of other foam. PROCESS

The foam flocks coming from the shredder are blown into the mixing drum, where stirred and mixed with adhesive. The mixture is dropped down into a standard size mold, where it goes under hydraulic pressure to become rebond foam. The process can be performed without or with a steam system additionally.

SHREDDING

First step in making rebond foam is to get shredded foam flocks out of the trim foam. A knife shredding type machine, equipped with four rolls stationary knife and re-circulating cooling water system, allows a production with 50-80% increase comparing with normal type. The model can be used for shredding various materials, such as: PU, PE, PVC, EVA, TPR, TPE, PP, PE.

The machine can be totally automatic, equipped with fully auto storage tank system, fully auto scale system, fully auto chemical feeding and spray system, fully auto double hydraulic press system, fully auto steam system. STEAM SYSTEM It is possible to make rebond foam without or with using steam. The advantage of using a steam system is the increase of production. Moreover, if using a fully automatic machine, more benefits will come: simple and easy operation, higher efficiency than normal type. APPLICATIONS

The equipment is used for recycling trim foam by making rebond foam. The final material resulted from the process can have densities up to 120 kg/m3.
